OUR PASTOR

Blair McLain was born in Buffalo, New York on April 18, 1964 to the late Ernest L. McLain and Catharine McLain. I learned my first bible scripture around my mothers bedside at the age of seven (Acts 2:38). I am 3rd generation Church of God in Christ (COGIC). I was filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of seventeen in Decatur Alabama under the leadership of the late Bishop Andrew Cooper Strong of Pentecostal House of Prayer. I then moved to Albion Michigan in 1981. In 1982 I met and married Joann Caldwell at the age of 18. I was under the leadership of Superintendent Lee for one year.  I moved back to Atlanta, Georgia where I lived for twenty four years. From this union came three children Devin, Blair jr. and Canaan. I began to teach Sunday school and then Bible class. I traveled exclusively with my father preaching and teaching the gospel throughout the southern and southwestern states. After the passing of the late Bishop E. L. McLain in 2002, I continued traveling and preaching and teaching the gospel until 2006. I then moved to Kalamazoo, MI where I assumed membership under Superintendent Hall in Albion, Michigan. for one year. I later moved my membership to Open Door COGIC in Kalamazoo, MI under Bishop Nathaniel W. Wells  where I currently serve.
